Capri and Herculaneum

Last weekend we went to Herculaneum, Naples, and Capri. Sadly, I have no photos from Naples because my camera ran out of battery.
These are some photos that I took in Herculaneum and Capri.

Herculaneum: A much smaller site than Pompeii, Herculaneum is a lil' dose of ancient Rome. Everything from baths to frescoes are still preserved here.
This is a Herculaneum snack bar. The food would stay hot inside those massive pots.

The sidewalks were so tall here! I couldn't even reach them when I jumped.

Some of the frescoes look pretty good for (almost) 2,000 years.

Capri: This tiny island is home to Tiberius's villa and has some of the most expensive shops I've seen in Italy. Even though the island is tiny, there is still plenty to see and do.

The view from our hotel terrace

We were in Anacapri. This is a map of town.

Meringue!

The moon on our first night was so bright!

The view of the island from Capri.

Kitty! ...oops... another cat photo

I met some goats too!

We went on a ski-lift type machine that took us to the top of the island. This is Dad on our way down.

Selfie in the sky!

The arch on Capri is huge and impossible to get in one shot.

This goat walks the edge! The cliff beneath him was straight down a few hundred feet.
Brave little goat.

This is right before I went into the Blue Grotto. Outside, the water was this dark navy blue, but inside the Grotto, it lit up and my entire body looked blue.

I had so much fun on this trip! I only wish I could show you some pictures from Naples.
