The Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona

I went to the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona on Saturday. Very fun!

The area around the Spanish Steps is all very fancy. There's a Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Louis Vuitton Jimmy Choo, and more. So... not a lot to buy, but plenty to see.

Ta-Da! The Spanish Steps. Why are there so many people? Ugh. You can barely see the steps, but I promise they are there.

This fountain is at the base of the steps. It is by either Bernini or his father.
It is a half sunken boat. There aren't many waterworks because the water source isn't very plentiful.

We went to Babington's for lunch. It's in our guidebook as a sweet British style cafe.
Well, it's sweet, but for a very high price. Four scones and two teas were 33 euros.
I was tempted to walk out...but look at the little kitty on the tea kettle!

I snuck this picture of macarons. They all looked so pretty! The lady at the counter said I wasn't allowed to take photos so I only have this photo of the display case.

Some floating balloons in Piazza Navona.

It was a really great day for walking around Rome. Not at all like the downpour we had today.
